Is your fridge starting to look a little barren? Restock it with a trip to San Diego’s best farmers market, the Little Italy Mercato. Open every Saturday from 8am to 2pm on W. Cedar St. from Kettner Blvd. to Front St., this award-winning event features more than 175 vendors, ranging from California certified farmers and ranchers to handcrafted goods and gifts.
Why Shop Local?
Shopping local is a great way to give back to the community and support your neighbors. When you shop local, you’re helping to create more good jobs, which also translates into better service. Another benefit of buying from local, independent farmers and artisans is that it reduces your environmental impact – less transportation equates to a smaller carbon footprint. That’s something everyone can be happy about.
