Dear Berkshire Clients and Residents,
Communities across the country and around the world are hurting right now. Following the senseless murder of George Floyd, many people are sad, frustrated and angry, especially the African American community. Although everyone may not ever completely understand the pain felt after decades of racism and racist actions, we stand in solidarity and support the right to protest for equality and against racism.
We also understand that there are people that have taken this opportunity to incite violence and looting while protests are taking place, creating dangerous situations for protestors and for those living in our cities and towns. The safety of our valued residents, our Berkshire team members and members of our community is of the utmost importance to us and we are taking precautions to keep our communities safe.
Our hearts are with George Floyd’s family, those in our community that are protesting and with the local responders that help them safely practice their constitutional right to protest. Please help us keep our communities safe and maintain respect and dignity for everyone who lives in and around them.
